For newbies. Do you need very low budget gaming rig, but dont know what?

Is this your first time building a rig? but you want it to be a powerful gaming rig at a very low price (under $900), but you having trouble choosing hardware. I have customize 2 configurations under very low price, for those noobs that are under very low budget, but are having hard time configuring a low budget gaming rig, frighting that it wont be compatible, or have no idea how to configure a powerful rig under $850 with right hardware, or final price goes over budget, and leaving you with no extra money for video card. These two are very powerful rigs, and will play any games you throw at it at 1900x1440 at max settings. The E8400 performs better in gaming than a Q6600, and overclocks over 4.0 at a lower price. The E8200 performs very close to a E6850 at a very low price, and over clocks very well. If Anybody needs help customizing pc for your needs at any budget ,feel free to email me at [email protected]

E8400 might be better at stock speeds but if you clock a Q6600 G0 to 3Ghz it won't do much worse (maybe even better). If you clock it to 3.2 (which is easy) you'll get a great gamer out of your Q6600 and a great editing CPU.

Also, I'd suggest you get the cheapest 8800GT you can get and slap on a Arctic Accelero S1 Rev2 (look up the reviews) and perhaps a turbo module if your airflow is not that well. The Accelero costs like 25 dollars and it outperforms practically every stock cooler (especially if you compare the sound... Seeing the Accelero doesn't make any). And you can always slap on one or two casefans if you want even better performance.

OCZ StealthXStream 600Watt is also not expensive.

(PS, you have multiple types of Accelero's. I believe the Accelero S2 is for most ATI cards.)

Good post! :P

I think maybe it would be better to just have an updated "Computer Specs 101 - 2007-04" as it provides a much fuller and easy to understand group of PC's and of course offers users more choice! :)

Although that's just what I think.

Tuffie.

The HD3870 is NOT better than the 8800GTS G92. Also, XMS2: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145034 is cheaper AND better.
