Force Windows 8 Safe Mode?

Hi!

Not sure if this is the right forum but I have a problem!

I just finished installing all the drivers and the OS (Windows 8 Pro) and everything worked dandy and fine but then I installed the utilities from the Mobo driver disk and I also installed Stardock's Start8 to have a start button and go directly to the actual desktop rather than the MetroUI.

Now one of these things messed something up because now when I'm on desktop both my mouse and keyboard don't work. They work just fine in BIOS but something just disables them when Windows 8 is booted.

I imagine is probably Stardock messing things up by sending me straight to the Desktop but now the problem is I can't remove it or anything...

So the only thing I can think of is maybe restarting Windows 8 in safe mode so I can remove Stardock and see how it is without it!

EDIT:
Now I've seen pressing Shift + F8 or F8 will work but the keyboard doesn't work already from the boot now >_< Or maybe it only works sometimes? Or what can I do?

EDIT 2:
Tried putting the Flash Drive I used to install Windows 8 to see if I can maybe repair it or something and well once again the mouse and keyboard don't work... So they just stop to work after the BIOS... why? :(

It sounds to me like one of two things is going on here.

1. Your keyboard and mouse are not compatible with windows 8. Only likely if they are high end gaming devices that need drivers. Most other keyboards just use a standard keyboard driver.
or
2. You have a failing keyboard that is being picky with windows.

Neither 1 nor 2. The Keyboard and Mouse worked perfectly well before I installed either Stardock's Start 8 or the ASUS Motherboard driver's utilities. Now I have no way to uninstall them so I think I'm just gonna format everything but I can't do that either seeing as I can't access windows... :(

My laptop has an ESATA connection though so what if I disconnect the SSD and HDD from the computer and format them from my laptop?

Can you get into safe mode and remove the start 8 program to see if it is that ? Or put in the setup disk and try to repair it..

I am still thinking it is a problem with teh keyboard and mouse. Start8 will not start at the same time as teh kernel. If you can not use F8 to get into safe mode, simply put start8 is not your issue.
