I reformatted my Sony Vaio all-in-one...(yeah I know..sony)
And upgraded from a 320gb hdd, 32-bit vista, 2gb ram...to 640gb/7200rpm, 64-bit vista, 4gb ram and I found that the internal Nvidia Go Geforce 8400M GT graphics processor driver on the Nvidia site and multiple attempts at finding a Sony workaround failed.
I finally found a Forceware install that worked and gave me the Nvidia control panel and allowed use of 3D functions--I had to force the install and modify the .inf file to get this to work and while it does work..I couldn't find forceware or anything for the 8400M GT.
My first attempt with the 8400M Gs did not work and so I went with the install of a 8600M GT.
My question is--does anyone know if there is a version for the 8400M GT that I could/should be using and does anyone see any issues from using the current forced/modified 8600M GT package?
Any input/thoughts are helpful--Thanks.
