forgotten administrator password

My son has an Acer Aspire 3680-2682, running Vista. His friend found my password, and got into my name as the administrator, and changed my password. I cannot figure it out to reset the password because nothing in the help files works. I cannot load a reboot disk with out my password, or fix the parental controls back to where they should be.....
Please help. And thanking everyone in advance.

I did kick his ass. He doesn't remember the password. I have a vista upgrade disk that I tried to put in, and it asks for my password.
 
When you said he got into your name as the administrator, did he get into the actual administrator account, or just into your account?

Try booting into safe mode by pressing F8 during bootup and see if you can login to the administrator account.
 
Thank you, I was able to retrieve my password (as the administrator/REALLY MAD MOM), and I will now try to fix my sons account, because after the porn viewing fest, I could not get into MY COMPUTER, on his account. And, when typing anything into search, the letters are in chinese....NO lie. And thank you. What a relief to change the parental settings...Any suggestions?

Youll probably want to a virus and malware scan as well as run something like ccleaner
 
to change the password for any user account boot up and toggle f8 (or maybe f5?) select safe mode with command prompt. login as the administrator that appears in safe mode. type in:-

net user "account name"* (obviously account name being which ever account you want to change. dont type the inverted comas and dont forget the star) you should be asked for your password, enter what password you want to change it to ( you wont see it being entered but it will be going in) hit enter, you will be asked to confirm so enter it again and hit enter. type exit to leave command prompt. then log out and back in on the account you just changed the password on (you can even change the admin account password.)

if you dont know the admin account when first in command prompt type:-

net user

and it should give you a list of all users including admin name.

Actually, it's :

net localgroup Administrators

This will list all the administrators on that computer.
