format drive?

ok im going to be getting a new dell soon and once i get it i want to format it to get rid of all the junk how do i format it without a floppy drive everytime ive formatted ive needed one this new pc wont have one so can you give me step by step on what i have to do to do this

If it comes with a windows Cd you can, just boot to the Cd, if not and it has a partition with windows install, it will just reload it like it was from the factory. You will need to get a new XP cd or see if dell will give you one!

Dell should send a Windows XP disc that runs on Dell computers that would allow him to do that.

Yes, there should be a Windows XP CD that will allow you to reinstall the OS without having to put back on all of the crap they put on at the factory. Usually it's not much though, so I would just delete/uninstall the stuff they put on and forego the couple hour project that is reinstalling Windows. :)

alright thanks i am getting the xp cd with it so i will see whats on the pc if i see to much crap i dont want i just put in the xp cd and reinstall and im clear

Make sure its not a recovery disk because that will put Windows and the crap back on. I would just uninstall the stuff you dont want.
