format question

OK, so I have the XBOX 360 VGA cable hooked up to my Samsung 22" monitor and I have a question. Since my computer and XBOX use the same input (VGA), I was wondering if I could buy an adapter to make the PC's VGA into my monitor DVI-D.

I'm having a big problem finding this adapter but I know it must exist. I understand that the VGA and DVI-D are the same format, and i'd essentially be playing VGA through the DVI-D port but it would be fine wouldn't it?

Does anybody know where I can buy a VGA female to DVI-D male adapter?

I received this today, and it doesn't fit into the input. It looks like the exact same thing as the cord I have now, but it has 4 extra pins right next to the long line thing (sorry idk how else to describe it)

I am lost here, and don't know what to get. I need to hook my computer up to my weird DVI-d with HDCP input. Is there anything I can do for this. I'm already using the VGA input for my xbox, so is there a cord, adapter, anything I can get to get my VGA signal from my PC to my monitor.

I've already bought this, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812120060 and it doesn't fit. it's almost the same thing except it has 4 extra pins (they're really small and right next to the longest pin).
