Lets start this off with the fact that I have windows vista, and i should have kept my mac. vista is really making me mad with the fact that i cannot format a harddrive in FAT32 that is larger than 32gb. Why would you do that.

I am trying to hook up an external hard drive (500gb seagate) to my ps3 so that i can back up the info. Thats it. Thats all i want to do.

I just simply need a way to convert my 500gb hard drive (ntfs) into a FAT32. I dont even give a (bleep) about my (bleepin) data on the hard drive anymore, if the process means removing everything on the disk, so be it. Just please help me.

wow....nvm i just fixed this myself....i installed windows xp on an old computer i had sitting around and installed swissknife and that did the trick.....*starts crying from joy*:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:good::good::good::good::good:

You can also get several third-party utilities to format large Fat32 volumes. Most drive makers offer something of the sort. You can do it right within Vista, too. Doesn't Swissknife work in Vista?
