This might be an odd thing to see on these forums but I got an ipod shuffle today and it wouldnt work, it kept ejecting itself out of itunes and then it wasn't being read as an ipod. Now the computer won't even read the thing so I can't restore it, I think something on the ipod's firmware was corrupted. I think if I could just format the drive then the computer would be able to see it then I could load on the firmware. Is there anyway to force the computer to see it and to format it(via usb2.0 on WinXP sp2)? I've tried help at some ipod forums but no luck, so I thought I'd take the technical route. If there isn't a way to force winxp to see it I also have a windows me machine that will read it, however ipod doesnt work with winos's under 2000 and xp so it just shows up as a usb device and not a drive.
