Formatting HDD

I've dual partition, when I go to right click on My computer then Manage and go to disk, there are some partitions with unknown type (typically, these are linux system files), but can I format these and make them available for windows Xp Sp2, from that console?

Do the partitions show up in My Computer? If they do, just right click on them and format it that way.

no they are not shown they are linux file systems ,and windows can't recognize them , its a piece of cake if they were shown

Do you need the data on them? You should be able to delete the partitions and recreate them with the console. If you need the data, you'll need 3rd party converters.

well no I don't need these data, so I can delete the logical drive and then create it, will that works?

Yes, right clicking on the partitions you want to delete should work.
