Forwarding email to my phone

Hello,

Well I got a new phone and was playing around with it with a friend. He can send me text messages and emails from his iPod and from his gmail account. HowEVER, I cannot forward the emails from my gmail account. I tried to use gmails forwarder thing, but it says invalid forwarding adress when I try to save.
Been looking all over the web for about an hour now....
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

In case you need it, it should be forwarded to "mynumber"@txt.att.net

EDIT: any chance this can be done so that its sms? I should also let you guys know that I have the Samsung R451C, with Net10.

Yeah, I checked. It doesn't :mad: I did see my same phone (after I bought the one I have now) same price with Straight Talk, which supports it AND open web browsing :mad: stupid Net10 restricted my browser. buts its to expensive. I acn't pay $30 a month. Plus, I would never use 1000 minutes a month, or 1000 texts a month. My current phone has me refill every 2 months, 300minutes minimum, which is plenty for me (150minutes/mo, $15/mo)
 
At&ts prices are absurd. I recently got rid of them I hated it so much. Had Cingular for years and they were great, prices shot up once ATT bought em out. I think my unlimited texting alone was like $20 a month.
 
Yeah, but I use Net10, which is through AT&T, pretty good prices for me, considering I don't use my phone a lot. Yet.

Thanks for you who looked, guess it won't work. Maybe I can find a way to jail break the phone, because the only thing holding me back is Net10 stupid config. I get an error that its a forbiden URL. Thanks anyway :)
 
Ah yeah, forgot about that. My verizon line is just temporary from my brothers account, I think I might get rid of it for pay as you go. Theres one now thats like $30 a month for unlimited calls, texting, and data use.
 
Something like that is probably what I'll get when I move out, instead of buying a regular phone for $50/mo.
 
Good luck paying $50 a month. My AT&T bill was like $70 monthly for minimum minutes and unlimited texting. You might think you don't need unlimited texting, but good luck having any sort of GF without it lol

I thought about moving to tmobile though. $80 a month with them for unlimited everything with no contract.
