fps gaming keyboard

i know there's a peripherals sections, but i wanted gamer opinions.
i want to buy a new keyboard, maybe a mouse too. i mostly play FPS on the pc and would like a good keyboard. i don't want to spend $200 for a g19, and the 15 & 11 look good for rts and rpgs, but not fps. i like the wolf king, but newegg only has the half-board.
so what do you guys use for fps games?
 
G11 Keyboard (RPG fan here) normal mouse.

I have always done well in CS/Battlefield 2....personally what they charge for mouses is not worth it...some talk about sensitivity etc for mouses but I find turning it up in the settings does just fine for me. I tried one of those fancy razor mouses before and returned it a week later...was not impressed.


Waste of cash in the end imo. I do however LOVE the macro keyboards for WoW raids etc for quick suit changes etc.
 
logitech g15...I would love one,When my current logitech gives up i might just buy one of those :)

I like how it displays how much memory is been used,temps and time.

The mem/temps display would help out alot imo.
 
the G15 is an awesome keyboard. I have had mine nearly a year now and I love it. I don't find much use for the macro keys...but the LCD display is really useful.
As well as the backlit keys.

The G19 also looks awesome....but at £127 I think it is a bit overpriced for most people.
 
Well hell when I bought my G11 (new) it was $55 now its $80 over priced is the logitech moto for keyboards :)

I got the G11 and I love it. The only thing that sucks is that I didn't get the one with the LCD monitor on it. :(
 
I got my first gen G15 like 3 or so years ago on sale from tigerdirect for $45.99 or so and free shipping:D Great keyboard although im thinking about replacing it with a new G15 orange one, or similar...
 
Definitely go with the g15 2007 revision. Fantastic keyboard, wouldn't want anything else. As for a mouse. The Microsoft Sidewinder is fantastic. The most comfortable mouse ever made. DPI change with the press of a button, and vertical side buttons instead of the stupid horizontal ones.
 
I have a g15 but I very rarely use the programmed key so it can be a waste but the display is nice for time and game data .

Alot of the FPS guys use mechanical keyboards due the better performance (or so they say)but that is the top level competitors, I am not sure if your recreational play you can tell a difference

Das keyboard is supposed to be pretty nice, a nice mechanical keyboard but pricey.
