FPS issues in BF2142

OK i just bought BF2142, after i finished installing and such and start up a game, the game is running at 2-4 fps. I have every theing on low and options turned off and its still running so horribly. I have a Pentium 4, ATI Mobility Radeon 9100/9000 card and 1GDDR ram stick. Is there something wrong or is my computer just not able to compete with the games performance? Was it completley pointless for me to buy the game with this computer?

Probably just the card. I know the desktop versions of the Radeon 9000 are very weak.

Sadly im on a laptop so no chance of replacing the card

So yea, it's probably your card. But 2-4 FPS seems a bit low, you running everything on minimum?

The graphics is really holding you back in a big way. I'm not sure if they should be that low though.

I'd say update all patches, run maintenance (defrag HD's etc.) And hope for the best.

people... were still talking about a Ati mobility9000 here... i mean, as far as i know its even worse than the fx5200.. I dont think its odd'ly low for that card... im actually supprised it even run's at all.
