Fraps makes game laggy ;(

Hey people,

I love playing Wolfestien:Enemy terretory and wanted to record me playing it & stuff because we post clips of each other playing in clan forums,Anyway.....

I instaled fraps (The full version) and it does record what i play fine but it makes the game so laggy its unplayable.
Then when i stop recording it goes fast again?

Is there a problem here or is it i just need more ram?

Lag is to be expected when using FRAPS.

When you record your videos, it records them at a specified framerate. So if you choose it to record at 30FPS, then FRAPS is going to throttle your in-game FPS to 30FPS max, as to avoid synchronization problems with the game recording.
