Is the free avast suppose to expire in 30 days? I had the home edition which expired. I just downloaded the free edition but it expires in 30 days. Any FREE ( i mean really free ) antivirus out there?

Does AVG expire in 30 days too?

AVG free does not expire in 30 days. Its possible you downloaded the 30 day trial version of the upgraded avast and will expire in 30 days unless you pay for it.

Did you register it? If not before 30 days it automatically expires. Otherwise it is good for 14 months on intitial registration and 12 months with additional registrations -- all free.

yeah just register free avast and it will extend you into 2011!!!

Not sure why it 'expires' after 30 days but yeh just register the freebie version and u are good!!

No you don't. The free is just that -- free. All they ask you to do is register and its good for 12 months.

After 1 year, you will have to register it again, and you will not pay anything for registration
