Free Software to transfer file in a local network

Anyone know where can i get free software that can perform the above ? .

use a hub or cross over cable and use windows networking for the rest. look for cross over file transfer or something

Yeah, windows can do it just fine without any additional software. Just make two shared directories and configure a network. Either use a direct connection (Crossover cable), a hub/switch, or a router. You will have to setup the IP address and what not with everything BUT the router.

I want to use my Old PC to do downloading . Then transfer to my Main PC . Files size can be up to 20GB .
