Hi,
I got a 64GB SSD. I installed windows 7 on it. and it took up a whooping 14GB of the 64GB. SSD storage is expensive, and I have only 1 GB left two days into using the computer. Is 14GB normal for windows 7, any way I can eliminate unnecessary stuff installed by the system (I have got rid of everything unnecessary that I am aware of )
Thanks.

Yes, that is normal for Windows.

The only things you should have on your SSD are:

Operating System
A few frequently used programs/games

and nothing else. Everything else, music, pictures, documents, general software etc should be on a storage drive, as these do not get a great enough benefit from an SSD

SSD storage is expensive

^^ thats the key, its not for storage.

Here's a couple guides. You may want to secure erase(equiv. to format) the ssd and start over.(back up data)

(this 1's optional ^, but looks handy to keep a couple things from running all the time)
