free upgrade to vista!

Hiya, got a new laptop with free upgrade to vista, when i send off for it will they send me it like in the box so it can go on any pc? i have an Acer. will it only go onto my laptop? the only reason i am asking is because my brother wanted it and i am quite happy with Xp as im not really into computers that much lol! so will it go onto any pc or will they do something to it so you can only put it onto my acer laptop?

It's upgrade so you need xp installed.
It should go with any comp as it have it's own cd key.
I guess that it's OEM ver so you can't install it on another computer after once activated.
