Freeagent GoFlex Upgrade USB 3.0 Cable

Like the title says I just bought this cable and I don't see ANY difference than using my old USB 2.0 cable. It says it is supposed to be up to 10X faster than USB 2. I have Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5 and it supports USB 3.0, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've not heard of this GoFlex cable upgrade, but I'm assuming you'd need a USB 3.0 capable system.

To check this look at the specifications on your motherboard.

If the cable and port are USB 3.0 that all fine and dandy, but if the device you're plugging it into is only 2.0 it won't make a difference.
