Can anyone show me how to clear all the unneccessary stuff from my computer.All the rubbish that is not being used.I've heard that it can slow down my computer?Thanks very much.

Try SpeedUpMyPC 2.0. Try the trial verison. Its pretty good.
You could also do this through windows (Clean Disk, I think) its in the accessories.

Start-->Accessories-->Cleandisk

first identify which stuff you consider "uneccessary"
then go into control panel>add/remove programs and remove them
if it requires a restart, restart, and go into c:program files
if the folder for that program you deleted is still there, delete it
second, go to start>programs>accessories>system tools>disk cleanup
free up any unecessary stuff, it'll show you what they are
third, run a defrag
start>programs>accessories>system tools>disk defragmenter
fourth, have a handy defrag and registry cleaner because after all those deleting and what not, your registry gets all cluttered and unneeded registry entries are left behind
fifth, make sure you are not using almost all of your hard disk, leaving somewhere around 15-25% free, depending on the size. (my opinion)
sixth, if you have any unneeded files like huge video clips, or programs that you download and occasionally use/view them, burn them onto a cd/dvd or put them somewhere like an external hard drive

that should free up some clutters from your hard drive. now if you are also having performance problems, thats something that these tips can possibly boost a little, but will probably require different tips like antiviruses, pc specs, etc..

DONT TURN OFF SYSTEM RESTORE!!! I never used system restore so I turned it off. I figured I could just do registry backups myself. Then A WEEK LATER my registry got all screwed up. But the last time I backed up the registry was after I disabled system restore! System restore can be a life saver. It's worth the disk space.

As hello said, System Restore is a good utility, but it can take up lots of disk space. What i would recommend doing is going to Strat > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup. Then when it loads, clear all but the most recent restore points in system restore, then select all the boxes (temporary files, recycle bin, etc), then you should clean up a good amount of space.
