Freeware OS??

I am seeking a freeware OS that IS NOT Linux. I use Ubuntu and love it, But I wish to try something thats not Linux. Is there such a thing?? Or do they have a monopoly on the Freeware OS market??

I am not looking for the almost Ubuntu OSs like Debian, Fedora, Gentoo, Mandriva, Mepis, or Slackware. These are all Linux and thus are not what I am looking for.

thanks man. That ReactOS looks promising, but it is still in Alpha testing. Im still going to try it, albeit on a older blank HDD, so if it totally fails, I can still have my current data safe.

Still open to any others out there.
