Freezer 7 Pro Rev2

I finally decided to change my stock cooler. It's been running dangerously hot under load, 70C. The installation was a easy as a pie, although I managed to break the fan a wee bit, I put too much force when I was putting it back onto the heatsink and it snapped, some sticky tape helped me here. I am really impressed by this cooler, it was under 20 pounds and it seems to be a great bargain for someone like me who is not into advanced overclocking and just wants the system to run cool. Now everything seems to be cooler, mobo, gpu and case.

I have tried to OC it a bit, but everytime I get BSOD, or weird messages, like for instance my Windows is not genuine :D (Happened to me at start up, then I went to Control Panel just to makes sure nothing is messed up and it said that Windows is genuine and activated :P)
The i5 seems to be picky about its RAM. I have good quality Corsair 1600MHz. But to make it run at that speed I have to choose the option to OC the RAM and this decreases the V to 1.65 on the RAM, although on the box it says it is 1.8V RAM. This might be why my system is unstable, although when I raised the BLK? or FSB if you like to make the CPU run at 3.23GHz and changed the RAM to 1520MHz I got a BSOD and running futuremark. I am running 1.14 CPU V, do you think I should increasing it to about 1.8??? and then running the Futuremark???Any help with the i5 would be great. Like I said before, I am really impressed by the cooler performance, I ran Everest stability test for over an hour, and this are the results I got:

47C degress seems preety nice, for 20 pounds, stock was at 70C :P

it would be helpful to know what CPU, ram, and mobo you are working with, also instead of using everest i would suggest something like linx or IBT.

Yep, AC7 is a really nice budget heatsink fan, though they do tend to get a bit louder than other larger coolers due to the 92mm fan.

I had the first Freezer 7 pro back when i had my E6300,Like you know its a very good budget cooler....looks very nice and is super quiet.

Upgraded though to what i have now,Its much better.....But my current cooler still isnt as quiet as the F7Pro was.

freezer 7 is a good budget unit. The xigmatek s1283 and sunbeam core contact freezer are competetively priced with the freezer 7 though here in the states, and while being a few more dollars, are one of the best heatsinks for the price.

i put a freezer 7 i my system last week.my i7 was getting too hot and the fan was too loud.
i keep it on silent mode and only increase fan speed at 50c.really does the job and silently
although i removed the pre applied paste and used artic silver 5 as i hear it the best :good:
