freezes while im playing

Hello!
Just got myself a new pc [P4 3Ghz; mobo Intel Springdale i865PE; 512MB pc3200; GeForce FX5700 256MB 425/400mhz; Samsung SP1213N 120GB; Match tv card] and have problems with playing: I go into game, play about 30min and then it freezes (like crtl-alt-del, alt-tab etc won`t help). Last time it happened i could play only somehing like 10min.

I have installed the graphics driver and i don`t think it happens becuz of too high temperatures, but however it realy pisses me off.

It always happens when i play, if i leave my pc downloading something for some 6hours it`s OK.

I hope i made the post into right topic.
 
i used to get this problem with some of my games, if you've ruled out overheating as a problem try turning sound hardware accelleration down to basic.

to do this run dxdiag, go to the sound tab and move the slider down to basic and see if it helps
 
I played Americas Army 2.4 and Live For Speed S2 and same stuff with both of them.

Ok ill try that Basic Sound stuff!
 
I have the latest directx - 9.0c.

I installed the latest drivers also but i didn`t know exactly what to choose HERE so maybe u could help me.

I have nVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 (Leadtek WinFast A360) Video Adapter, using XP sp2
 
how do you know its not your processor overheating?
because it sounds exacly like that to me.

but ok, does the pc runns normally when not under full load (like internet, or music and MSN). if so, im pretty shure it IS overheating, because when the CPU is at full load, it does get much hotter.
