freezing computer???

Ok so my computer has been doing this annoying freezing state whenever it sits without being used. most of the time my monitors go to sleep but the lights on my computer case stay on and when i move the mouse or try and press keys nothing turns it back on. It also has frozen in place during use. does anyone know what could be causing this?? any and all opinions are welcome i just want this to stop!!!

is it 32-bit or 64-bit?
When did it start happening?
What were the last few software and hardware installed?
what is the make and model of your computer?

turn off power and energy saving modes,
when computer turns off when not being used = never
when monitor turns off when not being used = never

you can use a screen saver if you want instead

i just started using windows 7 and had my computer freeze or the mouse and keyboard acts up,even had a blue screen, thank you windows 7,never had any problems in win xp,lol,can't wait for windows 8 bugs...
