Ok, Bit of a Problem.

I have, (had) a working computer,

We had a big lightning strike,

Blew up my Motherboard, Modem (dial up dammit), Amp, Phone Lines And more. . .

Problems.

I went and bought a cheap new motherboard until i get the money for a new one, My Car is taking all my Fund's atm . . .

This Car

I bought a Gigabyte GA-VM900M

Brand New.

I have,

3 x 1GB TwinMOS PC2-5300 Sticks of DDR2 Ram

3.01 Pentium 4 Chip LGA 775 Chipset With Heatsink

New 160GB Hard Drive

New PIONEER DVD Burner

Old Case

Now, The Problem.

I have everything plugged in right, And it hangs on Memory Testing: (however much 1GB Ram is in Bytes)

It will not get passed this.

I cannot get too BIO's

I Have re-applyed Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Paste

I Have the Seat sink on fine

I have Tried the 3 sticks of Ram

I have tried removing everything Bar Ram, PSU, CPU . . .

Another funny thing. . .

The On-Board Graphics, When plugged into that, Bring up like a Zebra Pattern on the screen . . .

BUT

When i plug in my Nvidia 7600GS GPU, The Zebra's Go away. . Yet it still Hangs.

This is not the first time ive built a PC, Yet i cant work this Damn Problem Out. . .

Hmm... wish i knew of something to suggest. Maybe it damaged the cpu? beats me... it doesn't sound like a power supply problem

I would assume.

The Board is DDR2

I am Using TwinMOS PC2-5300 Sticks of DDR2 Ram

I got the ram from a computer store i worked for, i think it may be a bad batch

Ill update in around 10 minutes with an answer, ill go get some more DDR2 Ram.

Did you replace the memory when the lightning hit? Most likely that if the motherboard got fried, so did the CPU. That's my guess. An fried cPU would probably cause this.
