Freezing the lithium battery?

hey guys, so my college semester is now over and i wont be using my laptop for the next 3 months, whats the best way to preserve the lithium batteries life? I heard about throwing it in the freezer but i think thats a myth. Any advice would be appreciated. thanks!

lol am i supposed to put my battery in the fridge for 3 months since i wont be using it? Isn't that a bit too prolong of a time period?

Honestly i think its a little extreme. best bet read the documentation for maintaining the battery for lithium ion and follow the procedure from the manufacture. charge at the proper time and as needed. the best so far mentioned was recharge at about 40% minimum. take it off the charger normally when done. maybe recharge about every 3mo.
I do not take it all the way down.

yea i agree with you it does sound extreme, I placed my battery in my closet which is relatively a cool area, its at 42% charge level and ill probably recharge every month and then let it deplete to 40% again lol. Thanks for the insight!

shouldn't have to recharge that often. but then again it depends on how old the battery is. mine does not. then it again just bought it. they do wear out though. it will. don't know. just wing it. when its time i get a new one.

funny thing is it gives me the charge level by pushing a button on the battery.
for a weed wacker and blower made my Rybol. wanted the blower for sidewalk.
its either green fully charged and ready to use. or down and charge right now.
does not slow down. either fully charged and ready or charge now.
works for me. the spare battery was $90.00. i can buy the the battery drill without battery to support this. its an 18 volt lithium ion.

oh well.
