Fresh install of XP

Im trying to do a fresh install of XP Home. When I boot from CD , windows setup starts installing setup files. It then says setup is starting windows and then a blue screen with IRQL_Not_less_or_equal and has acpi.sys on the bottom. I am using an on-board video card. AMD XP 1800 processor. 60gig HD. ECS L7VMM motherboard. 512 mb ram. Some of the things I have tried are install another fan for any heat issues. Flashed the bios with new version and nothing happened. Adjusted different settings in the bios. installed different sticks of ram. Switched from AGP to onboard video. With different configurations, i also got the system to restart on its own after the message setup is starting windows. Also got a Page_Fault_in_nonpaged_area blue screen message. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
