Fried TV Sets Anyone???

All - I am building out a new Shuttle PC as a entertainment system for my living room. I just wanted to know if anyone has killed, maimed, or tortured a television with their graphics card. This system will be used to mainly watch DVDs, computer AVIs, some kids games, and occasionaly surfing the net. However, I do not want to do this if it is going to degrade my T.V. system. (The wife would not be too happy me breaking the T.V. I just finished paying off.)

Anyone have any horror stories of anything happening to their T.V.s? Thank you for in advance for any info you can provide.

Once I killed a TV-set by connecting 220 V in its antenna input...
But I don't think you can fry a TV-set with a video-card signal. I'm using my TV-set for secondary output for several years and nothing happened with it.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that never disconnect or connect the cable from the computer to the TV-set when one of them is switched on. It could be a shock to the electronic equipment if there's static electricity or slightly different voltages on the two connectors when connecting them.
