Why does a computer not print emails or web pages but it will print word documents and test pages?
An elderly couple that are friends of mine recently obtained a used Gateway pc to replace their existing old pc. Their teenage grandson copied their documents over and set up their dsl internet and email, and hooked it up to their existing peripherals including an HP printer. As a favor, I have been trying to "complete" the transition for them. The pc was previously using an Epson printer. I have installed the HP printer drivers and successfully printed a test page. I have also printed a word document. When I try to print an email or a web page nothing happens. The print icon raises like it should and the button graphic depresses properly, but nothing gets sent to the printer. One more thing. The pc is running Windows ME.
