Front jacks dont work

hi i completed my computer a month ago and am reopenning it to fix the following

1. the cd drive button isnt lined up
2. the headphone and mic jacks on the front dont work but the ones on the back do.

1. is self explanatory but how do i fix 2? im using this motherboard

the audio jacks in the back work so its simply a wiring issue

Just behind the audio jacks on the mobo there should be a 10-pin connector with one missing pin. Confirm the wire coming from the case for the front audio connectors is plugged in here. It's normally the AC'97 plug (my case actually had 3 different plugs for the front audio; AC'97, HD audio, and individual wires).
