On the front of my case, I have 2 usb connections, and an audio in and out connection. Theres also what appears to be a 1394 connection, but with no wires going to it. Cant think of any reason this would be there?

Anyway, the two sets of wires for my usb headers are labeled (-D , GROUND , +VCC , +D) in corresponding order wire colors are yellow, black, red, green.

In my manul for my mother board (asus a8n-sli deluxe) the usb connection are listed as:

(left pin) (right pin)
USB+5V / USB+5V
USB P7- / USB P8-
USB P7+ / USB P8+
GND / GND
.........../ NC

So I have no clue how to connect my usb cables, since the naming doesnt match up.

Secondly, the audio cables, labeled (SPKOUT R , SPKOUT L , MIC-IN , MIC-BIAS , GROUND , RETURN L , RETURNR)

In the manual, for 'front panel audio connector (10-1 pin FP-AUDIO) the m/b connections are listed as:

(left pin) (right pin)
bline out L / line out L
.............../ NC
bline out R / line out R
+5VA / micpwr
agnd / mic2

Thanks for your help.

USB+5V = VCC
USB P7- = +D
USB P7+ = -D
GND = Ground

just make sure you connect the cables of each group to the same USB port-pins on the motherboard, and you'll be fine :)

(the ...../NC pin is there, so you cant push up the standard usb connector to the motherboard the wrong way around. but that doesnt work out wit lose pin's (I had the same with my case :) the NC stands for Not Connected )

I'll have look nto the Audio connector.. dont know that one atm :o
