FSB:DRAM ratio *large image*

wasnt sure if i should put this under the memory section or here... i guess since it pertains to overclocking im okay. but heres my question. ive been reading a lot of OC threads recently and have seen some people post about keeping a 1:1 ratio when OCing. i havent been able to find any answers to my satisfaction. can someone explain to me what it is and how it affects performance?

my system is at 2.97 GHZ with a FSB of 330, multiplier of 9 (speedstep is enabled in the screen above)

It just means that when you up your FSB, your memory rises at the same rate with it 1:1,

but yours is 5:6, which i think means for every 5 MHz FSB, you get 6 MHz in memory speed, its somthing like that, im not too good with overclcoking figures.

Ideally a 1:1 ratio is best, but if your doing a huge overclock and your memory cant take it, one would lower the ratio, meaning the ram would run at a slower speed allowing you to get a higher CPU overclock (IMO if you get to this point, well done !!)
