FSB settings not saving

So I had my Q6700 sitting stable at 3.25GHz for some time, and than all of the sudden I was in the BIOS for whatever reason and I noticed it was back to stock speeds. So now anytime I try to increase my FSB it doesn't save it. After the PC restarts it just goes back to stock speeds. I tried replacing the CMOS battery but that didn't help. It's strange though because my voltage settings save properly.

Thoughts?

i wonder if that little battery on your motherboard is dying? when you take that out it resets everything so that might be the cause.

try replacing that battery.

Another thing I can think of is that there is multiple BIOS's. The BIOS pertains to hardware usually and the CMOS pertains to settings. It could be that with your mobo the BIOS controls the voltages etc. Maybe try another battery or check to see the exact one you need to make sure.

Since the bios reset it self some how, Speedstep, what ever Intel calls it now. Didnt get enabled again did it.
