FSB too high

right............ i think you need to reset the CMOS, take out the battery on the motherboard and leave it out for bout 10 secs. replace the battery and turn on the computer tell me what happens.

Had the exact same problem except...

Hey I have the MSI KT4 Ultra mobo and changed the multiplier setting in the bios too high. As a result, the PC powered on yet no signal was sent to the monitor. In other words I did not even see teh bios. As a result I had to do something about it. I was suggested taking out the battery. Did that for 5 minutes and with no avail. I then reset CMOS using the j11 jumper and that was the solution to my problem. I thought I trashed my processor! ;)

JAN :)

LOL reading the manual would have told you that :P (actually, the "norm" requires setting that jumper) :)

You can't just reset the jumper on most mobos. You have to turn off the PSU first, so that no power is in the mobo. Then you can reset the jumper, and then turn the PSU back on and it should work. You could just unplug the mobo, but flipping the PSU switch is so much easier :)
