Fsb

Can you put a 533mhz fsb 478 socket processer in a 40mhz fsb mobo. The mobo I have only has 400mhz fsb support

that was your question well what id say about that is i would think the fsb would clock at 400mhz if thats all the motherboard can support then again i dont know cuz ram and motherboard is too different things

my process is 533 bus its a celeron D but i have pc3200 DDR ram that really can clock at 400mhz but it clocks at 333mhz cuz my fsb is 533 when id need to have a 800mhz fsb in order to clock it at 400mhz

id say this tho id recommend you looking into getting a mobo that can work with your processor that supports 533 fsb processor

You may want to check out the motherboard manufactureres website and see if they released a BIOS that supports a 533Mhz FSB chip.

You can put 133MHz FSB (533MHz QDR) CPU in a 100MHz FSB (400MHz QDR)max board (assuming it is a supported core) but it will be underclocked by default.
