FSX deluxe, worth it?

I found some stuff on the internet.. appearantly the Belkin G1000 is a LCD screen wich can be used in aircraft, instead of the analog avionic's you can have it displayed on such a screen.. so i gues its just a modified UI in FSX.

as for playing ATC.. could be fun for a change... buuut.. i gues it would only be used abusive, to make planes fly into eachother :P
hmm.. maybe i should wait a bit, and download the demo when im home again

Ah ok so the G1000 is just an MFD, with Vatsim you can play ATC in FS9. They take it very seriously though so I wouldn't direct midair collisions.

As for Preator, I'm not afraid of him. :P
 
I'm playing with a huge disadvantage here... :/ Unfair! X(
Maybe i should ask Blue then,.. but Praetor, i'd take that as an insult if i were you.. ;) ^_^
 
I don't know Blue perosnally, only through here. I only mentioned him because his listed location is about an hour away. And me & Preator, we're cool so let the insults fly! :P

let me point it out this way... I may not be strong, i may not be fast.. but im quite mean, and i have a good memory. -_-
I think i'll pay canada a visit next year on my hollidays.. :P

Well, it is a resource hog! but the visuals are great. Archangel, so you had all the sliders to the right and were able to get 30 FPS? Was this over cities or in the country. I can't get good FPS over cities, the Airbus mission over Paris kills me at 5-7 FPS! See my thread about a new FSX gaming machine.

I and my eleven year old son play/sim with FSX; it's better than his XBox shootemups.

I like FS9,.. i have many custom planes in it atm. the demo looks promissing... im not sure if ill buy it right away tough :)

edit, and yes,... i had the grafic's (landscape and plane) maxed out :)
 
The commercials of FSX look good, but im not sure if it really is that good. For now ill stick with my fs9. Plus i think my computer is too sucky for FSX :P

But if you have extra money laying around, why not.
 
If have the power, go for it. Lots of great tutorials for newbies also. "Transition to jets" is extremely well made (tutorial)!

Get a yoke though!
 
I don't mean to hijack the thread or anything but can I ask one question?
Is it necessary to buy a joystick to play FS series?
I tried playing it on the keyboard but there are "delayed" reactions from the plane even though I'm at 60fps at high (not over city).

You can play with a keyboard. I dont know if it makes any difference on times.
Also The delays are seen with larger plains vs smaller.
