ftp site - possibly a wrong setting?

Well i am in an online gaming clan and we use the site -LINK REMOVED-
the person who owns the site had given me access to the site so i could upload videos an images that would then be direct streming video.
for example... -LINK REMOVED-

Now one day when i was logging on i was having some issues and the password was not being accepted (possibly i forgot it)

So not only can i not access the network ftp to upload files, but i cannot even visit the site -LINK REMOVED-
I know it's still there because everyone uses it.
I get the message "Internet explorer cannot display the webpage"
almost as if i were not connected to the internet.

Is there something i can do to fix this?
Might i have possibly changed a setting or blocked this ftp site entirely?
I don't think it has to do with my virus/firewall because it has not changed.
I even did a system restore to a date when it worked, and it still will not work.

Any suggestions?

it's not just that though, i can't even go to the site at all.
I can't view it or any of it's subpages/files, but everyone else can.

i would think it would have something to with an issue in your option folder. maybe java scripts is turned off.
