function key?

i recently had a beer spilt all over my laptop, long story short, the keyboard is fried and everything else is fine. i need to turn on my wireless internet tho and to it i have to use a blue function key plus f2 on the original keyboard... my external doesnt have a function key, any ideas???
 
check out the utilities provided from your laptop maker.
I remember toshiba had a tool for function keys.
 
There's also a program called keytweak. I can't recall right off, but it might have an option where you can redefine the function key... You could set it to some standard key you don't use that much.
 
downloaded key tweak but there is no option for a function key, its only a re-mapper, it doesnt allow you to create entirely new keys
 
An external keyboard seems like it would be a hassle for very long... you'd be better off searching eBay for a keyboard for your laptop.
 
you mean replace the entire internal keyboard? i guess i could check. the external isnt really that bad, if i could i would like to keep it this way but i need to get this damn wireless radio turned on... f*cking hardware radio control switch!!!
