Funny clicking noises

Hi

On my dvd drive every 5 seconds it makes a funny clicking sound - do you know why this is - and when i press the eject tray - it closes bakc up, somtime halfway of opening when the clicking noise happens

Drive have a little pressure sensor things, which allow you to close them just by tapping the tray a little. Sounds to me like yours is messed up, and it's constantly trying to pull the tray back in, even if it already is. I don't think there is very much you can do except return it or buy a new one.
