Future HDD release schedule?

Does anyone know what the release schedule for future HDD sizes and prices is/will be?
I.E. 750 GB HDD's are already released for about $450, but what will be the next HDD size, when will it be released and how much will it cost? ANd what will the 750GB HDD drop to?

Im asking because people are recommending me to get 750GB HDD's for $450, I dont know I or anyone would spend $450 for 750GB's when I could buy 3 500GB HDD's for a total of 1500GB's and it would cost me the same as 1 $450 750GB HDD.

i will not use drives higher than 250 gb lol it will be a pain in the ass to loose 750gb worth of data unless you wanna run 2 in a raid 1 setup

Let me read the raid 101 guide first. But wouldn't have people just said the same thing 10 years ago when 500 MB's was the norm?
