fuzzy photos

I have some photos that are fuzzy, some are old and some are new that I took, but my hands shake. Is there a good simple software that might help me clear them up?
Thank You

The short answer is that there is no simple way of rectifying camera shake. I detail what can be done below but it really needs to be done by someone who has a bit of graphics expertese and the software already. Otherwise it will be frustrating and expensive.

To process you will have to have them in digital form. For hard copies they will need to be scanned into a pc.

Minor camera shake can be reduced by sharpening the picture.

The only software I have come across that tries to correct the shake motion is Focus Magic ($45). It will also do blurred pics. Unfortunately it's not a cure-all. Even when it does a good job there are artifacts to clean up so some editing skill is needed. They have a trial download in both standalone and plugin. You could try it and see how you do.

in my experience, there is nothing you can do for this. Software may help if it's minimal shake, but chances are, you won't be able to do much. It also depends on how much shake there is and how sharp you want them. Post one and I'll work it for you.

I have tried Focus Magic without much success. The digital cameras that compensate for some motion sounds like a good idea, has anyone used them. I just cracked my lcd display and need a new camera, might try to get one of them.

An easy fix is a tripod ;)

There's not much you can do, software wise. With the camera, you could adjust some settings and try to give it faster shutter speeds and what not, but then you'll get dark pictures. It really boils down the the quality of the camera...

Softwares = probably nothing. makes it worse possibly. increase saturation, color balancing, etc..

Tripod = probably best bet. can range from $5 USD to whatever..

Also, it can be your camera low quality camera compared to a high quality. What camera do you have?
