Fuzzy text in PC games

Hey guys ive got a problem with playing games on my PC...When I start my games up everything is fine and i set the graphics options to the highest and put my resolution to the highest i can get on my monitor 1440x900 and then when i play, the game is perfect and the graphics are smooth except for the text...its all blurred out like im running it on a lower resolution...i have the latest updates for all my drivers and its still doing it...its only started doing this for a few months...its happened with several games please help :(
GPU: radeon 4870
CPU: e4600 at 3ghz
Ram: 4gb
OS: Vista 32 bit
 
samsung syncmaster 931bw...i dont think its that because only some games do it and the whole game is crisp and clean except for the text for some reason...but the text like im writing right now i extrmeley clear its just in game text comes out fuzzy :(
 
If the game is set on a lower resolution it would could such a issue though. Also resolutions under 800x600 will do it too.

Games like WoW you can notice such things with low res.
