fx 5500 agp 8x vid

i have a evga nvidia fx 5500 256mb card, its 8x agp, but my mobo runs only 4x it works, but when ever i try to play a game like along the lines of shadowbane it wont work, thats with the updated drivers, and everything, shadowbanes support says it should run no problem

What do you mean by it doesn't work? There are alot of interpretations of "it doesn't work". Do you get errors or does the game crash, if so does it crash at a certain point or startup?

yea sometimes the pc will reboot, sometimes all u can hear is audio and then about letting sit there for like 5 min, a bunch of shapes and lines come on screen, never had this prob in my old pc, when used to play css, but now i am, but have no problem unless trying to get in game..

Try disabling some eye candy, like AA and AS, try to disable everything and run the game.
