Fx 6300 Vishera OC

Im finishing up my new build and im getting my processor next week! im looking to see if anyone has had any experience yet with the 6300 and overclocking. my board is an asus m5a97 R2.0
 
well what's the cooler? on the stock cooler you won't be able to do too much safely, but with a good air cooler you should be able to hit 4.5 without much trouble.
 
i plan on getting the cooler master 212 evo it was recommended to me by a few people. ive never overclocked before so ive also got some research to do yet. i also want to play around with my graphics card which is a sapphire hd7850 2gb
 
no real need to mess with either, will game perfectly as-is. since overclocking can void warranties and cause issues, i'd wait untill it is actually needed for any real overclocking, for now i wouldn't push it past like 4GHz since the turbo is 4.1, so you know that will run perfectly stable with no issues
