FX compatibility?

Hey guys, I currently have an Asrock 880gm-LE motherboard. I was wondering if my board (maybe w/ a new bios update) would support the new FX-8320.

Newegg has the new board, the 880gm-LE FX, it looks like the EXACT same thing

sorry to say mate your board only supports the ff: AMD Phenom™ II X6 / X4 / X3 / X2 (except 920 / 940) / Athlon II X4 / X3 / X2 / Sempron processors

You'll need an am3+ board for FX processors.

If you have the 8320 or intend to buy it regardless, I would try it. The FX and non-FX boards seem identical and I would be it would work. Just cool the motherboard mosfets (VRM).

Otherwise, yeah, its a gamble.

In most likelihood you'll need to update bios to get an FX chip working in this board..

the processor will fit but the sockets is am3 only, u need am3+ to run fx i believe
