Hey, my parents bought me this laptop here for christmas

http://www.amazon.ca/ASUS-Republic-...G0ZO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1293491737&sr=8-1

There are few other people who are having the EXACT same problem as me, but there are many similar.

Whenever I play more demanding games like GTA 4, even on low - medium graphics, it glitches out, I'm not talking low fps, I mean when I play it, I'll start off as Niko just walking out of the house, everything will be fine for less than a minute, then after a bit the game will start freezing every few seconds, the freezing could be half a second to 20 seconds, it's really making me mad.

Here's what I did about it:

Called Asus, though I had already downloaded the graphics driver for the G60JX (Other name for this laptop) He still directed me to install it. After I shut my laptop off and started it again, the game actually ran a bit better but still terrible, it still froze up every few seconds, so the graphics driver barely helped. I also tried fooling around with different sound drivers, I went to Uninstall Programs, and uninstalled the RealTek Audio program/driver, I did this because people said on the internet it worked for them as well as updating the BIOS to 206.

Today, I finally upgraded the BIOS to 206 because that was the version everyone said to upgrade to, because it fixed similar freezing problems to mine.

THEN, *drumroll* nothing changed with GTA 4! I started off and it seemed fine like it always seems at first, THEN as soon as I went outside it seemed fine too, so I started pushing people (inside the game) and BAM it started freezing up again.

I really don't want to send it in like a girl from Asus told me on the phone, I just want to play my games for PC.

I know theres a solution to this because many people have fixed this problem as well.

ANY suggestions on how to fix? I'm tired of this BS, for the amount of money my parents had to spend on this, it should be updated with all drivers.

PS. One person who never heard of these laptop problems said that it may be a broken graphics card problem? I highly doubt that right now though.

ANY suggestions on how to fix? Any help would be appreciated :)

I will now, why would this help though

I had problems with one of my new laptops someone on this forum told me to run mwmonotor I did and my processor Temps were really high, so I took it back to Best Buy where it was bought and they gave me a brand new replacement. Now all is great. Maybe if you find your Temps are too high you can do as the ASUS girl wanted you to do and send if off to the ASUS Doctor.:)

Lol yeah I think I might send it in, but it may be a driver issue, would you think this is okay while running GTA 4 low-medium graphics?

I attached a pic of the system tempurture

The Temps are fine I see it's a dual core processor you may be running out of processor power of memory.

Do the Clt+Alt+Del click on task manager and look at the performance of your system. Do with the game running, It will show how much is being used while running the game.

Yeah, I'll try, I seriously still think it's a driver issue still though, but I'll check

LOL I fixed it! All I had to do was disable the Windows Task Log services
