GA-990FXA-UD3 Set up

I'm about to buy a 990FXA-UD3, and i want some help setting it up.

Im thinking my first job will be to make sure i have the lastest BIOS setup.
Next i have 16GB of 1866 Ripjaws ram that i want set up and optimized?

After that i'll want to try and Unlock and overclock my Phenom 2, but lets take this one step at a time...

Phenom 2 960T 3.0 GHz Black edition - Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3
Samsung 840 EVO SSD
Western Digital Caviar 500GB Sata
16GB (2x8GB) 1866MHz RipjawsX DDR3
Antec EarthWatts 500w
 
Depending on the Rev. you get, might not need to update the bios running a 960T. Might boot the memory to its stated speed and timing, if not just set it manually. Overclocking you need to get it up and running stable, then see if it will unlock first.

Really easy to overclock with and get RAM setup. I have Rev. 4 and I didn't need to update for my CPU and all CPU's older. Overclocking and unlocking is extremely easy.
