GA-MA780G-UD3H Overclock?

i am wondering if (for just a brief period) if it is worth it to try and overclock an onboard video graphics core clock from 500 to something a little higher? my motherboard is the ga-ma780g-ud3h board by gigabyte. i have heard form others that overclocking a motherboard is generally not a good idea but i just wanted some opinions about this board. i mainly want to do this just to see how high i can get it (for fun). i am getting a new graphics cards for christmas and just felt like i should try this. thanks.
 
integrated GPU's lack any amount of power even when overclocked. they also usually lack a new version of directx, they also usually have no shader model support at all.
