on my dads computer and other computers i have been on recently the font's rounded edges are all smooth... on my computer they aren't very rounded well... some of them (and most of them get jagged edges sometimes when they are made bold... ie: Gill Sans FB).... how can i round the font edges? is there a program?

also, on my computer even tho i have the same fonts as other people it might be different when the font gets big...
for example: Berlin Sans FB becomes sort of "bold" at Pt. 14... there is more of a difference beetween Pt. 12 & 14 then there is w/ pt. 12& pt. 10... pt 14 is more boldish...but on some computers i have seen, Berlin Sans FB gets its "bold tweak" at Pt. 12...

if you don't know what i mean:

do you see what i mean? the 14pt font gets bolder (and it isn't even set at bold...). Now i know that is normal, but i have seen it on some computers that it doesn't get bolder or make that jump until 16pt, and sometime it makes it at 12 pt on other computers? why?

Rounding the font edges has to do with font smoothing:
Right-click Desktop > Properties > Appearance tab > Effects
Fool around with the font smoothing item, second from the top. Enable it, choose a type of smoothing, disable it, etc. until you get the effect you want.
As for some fonts appearing to bold out when they get bigger, when it happens on my PC it apparently has to do with fitting the font pixels to the pixels on the LCD and in relation to the dots per inch used. I forget exactly what it's called... but I can't do anything about it.
