Gainward drops nvidia exclusivity

eVGA ATI products will kick@$$

All those companies that said "No NVidia is the way to go, cause ATI sux" look what happened to them. ATI has released cards that if in crossfire, PWN (And you get to keep the intel chipset) and Their single cards (4800s) cant be beat for the price. Nvidia is dropping prices left, right and centre just to get some sales, but it still isnt enough (GT260 $299 and the 4850 $200, and they are equal in performance)

Nvidia is skrewed on this one.

Good one ATI.

I was actually hoping something like this could happen, as it is good for us the consumer. Now ATI will get lots of cash from these sales and this will go into research. and now both ATI and NVidia will have to compete again, price and performance wise.

+1 for the consumer

Computer_Freak,

Who told you that HD4850 is equal to GTX 260 ? The reviews that I show doesn't show that

The GTX 260 performs better than HD4850, specially at high resolution.

Moreover, HD4850 seems to perform on par with 9800GTX most of the time

Lol

It only beats it in Half life, in CoD4 and Assasins Creed the ATI wins, and in crysis it is a little lower (but the GT260 has more memory etc)

For the Money the HD4850 cannot be beat. So what if its 3-5 frames less, its also $100 less

And its draws lees power, meaning you also dont hhave to up your PSU...

I know i sound like a fan boy, but im not. Im all for the consumer. Whatever is best, i will take it.
