game pad for pc

hi guys
my question is i want a game pad for my pc to play racing games first person shooter etc, whats better wired or wireless also can the game pad be used for all the pc games like racinf first person etc

Im sure either would be fine, but wired would probably be much cheaper and you can have more controllers to pick from. I would think that you could use it with practically any new game, but im not sure.

i would get wired its cheaper and you have more to choose from as Geoff said. i have a wired usb cable controler and i can use it for all games.

Yeah you can use it for any game, as everyone else has said i would go wired. You can just buy an adapter and use your ps2 controller (if you like them) .

Now if youd want to thats a different story i find controllers are awesome for racing games and the likes but when it comes to FPS/RPG i think a keyboard and and mouse wins hands down.
